mark. who?

What is mark.?

Mark. is a cosmetics brand of makeup created by Avon (yes, Avon) for young women. With the sole purpose to inspire women to “make their mark. on the world.” They are the second leading cosmetics company in the world, beating out Sephora, and generic consumer brands.

The mark. brand is not limited to just makeup, they have several lines of fashion, skincare, and jewelry. Mark. is always up on the latest runway trends, and brings it customers at a fraction of the cost without sacrificing quality on any item.

So what’s with you and mark.?

Recently, I became a mark. girl and my story is somewhat simple. After getting married, I needed to brand of makeup that was still the best quality but at signification less cost. When I was single I used to go into Sephora and $25 Mascara, and $15 Dior lip balm. Spending $150-$200  in one Sephora visit wasn’t unusual for me. Till one day, I ran out of Mascara. (Gasp!)

So one evening in my frantic search I began to search Allure for  the best reviewed makeup at the best possible price. As I was searching around, like any girl, I began looking browsing for the best eye liners, powders lotions, anything you can think of. Then, I spotted this  something and it clicked. Mark. was the answer.

About a year ago, a friend of mine signed up for mark. to by makeup for herself. In an effort to clear out her makeup during a college move she gave me several products. One item (or should I say two-in-one) was a mascara and lip gloss piece. I love this thing. It was the only thing I carried in my purse or clutch if I was being minimal. It was perfect, it was great make up and it was always easy to grab when I was rummaging for it in my bag.  So, I went to the mark. website with all intentions to just buy make up. Then, after reviewing there brand, and discovering there fashion, skincare line  I figured if I love mark. as much as I did I should become a rep. and share my love for this make up too.

Granted, I have never been excited about anything like this before. I remember in high school being bombarded with Avon, and Mary Kay reps. practically begging me to join there team. I knew I was personable, but didn’t want to belong to a company where reps. where basically forcing me to sing up for something I had absolutely no passion for. Mark. is something I truly believe in. I will never beg anyone to become up a rep., or convince them to throw at party at there house. The company speaks for it’s self, it’s amazing products, at an amazing price hands down. The company (even though it is owned by Avon) has incredible lines, clever names (Like ‘Glow baby Glow’ and ‘Help Wanted’) and fun colors geared to the marketing for young women (think ‘Pink’ byVictoria’s Secret’ meets Avon’s litte sister.) It’s fun, flirty, and affordable.

I like to imagine my role as a rep. more as a journey then a mission. I’m out to have fun, and meet friends along the way. Anyone can buy from mark. either through a rep. or there home website. But as a rep. I get a small fraction if you purchase from my site. The way I see it, is you can buy from the site and support the company and no one else. Or, buy from a rep. and support a friend in a big way.
